Marianne H. Hutti, PhD, WHNP-BC, joined the University of Louisville (UofL) faculty in 1979.  She is Professor and Coordinator or the Women’s Health-Family Nurse Practitioner Double Major Program at the University of Louisville (UofL) School of Nursing, and currently teaches MSN and PhD students.  She was the first Associate Director of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning at UofL (2005-2009), where she was responsible for all activities related to teaching the university full and part-time faculty about better teaching pedagogy.  She has been an NIH-funded researcher in the area of perinatal/pregnancy loss, and is currently working with a team of nurses from the Norton Healthcare System to investigate the  meaning, experiences, and behaviors of nurses caring for families after fetal loss.  Dr. Hutti has received national awards as a teacher and researcher, speaks nationally and internationally on women’s health-related topics, and has published numerous articles, particularly in the area of perinatal loss.  In addition, she practices one day/week as an independent Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).
