Dr. Rodney Samaan is board-certified Cardiologist in the fields of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.  His interdisciplinary training puts him in a unique position to care for teens who have been diagnosed with or are at risk for heart conditions and health problems related to premature poor health (such as hypertension, obesity, type 2 diabetes, chest pain, and sleep apnea).

After completing his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Cleveland’s University Hospitals Case Medical Center/Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital, Dr. Samaan went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at the prestigious St. Vincent’s Hospital of New York City.  In addition to his medical training, Dr. Samaan has been involved in a number of medical research projects and has served as a medical reporting intern for ABC News.  He has also performed medical work in South America, the Middle East, and South Africa as well as having had several of his works published in US medical journals (including the Texas Heart Journal).  He is a frequent attendee at worldwide cardiology conferences, and he enjoys being able to bring the latest cardiology developments to his patients.

An avid runner, Dr. Samaan has completed three marathons and enjoys blogging about stroke and heart disease prevention in his spare time.  He also enjoys swimming, cycling, reading, traveling, and taking an active role in the community in raising awareness on the prevention of disease in adolescents and adults.  Dr. Samaan is fluent in Spanish and is proud to serve the Spanish-speaking community.
