Mark founded Northwestern Capital Partners, LLC in 2001 as an early stage and middle-market investment bank, focused on life sciences and agriculture.  The company has worked with some of nation’s largest institutional investors, and has completed transactions worth well over half a billion dollars since 2008.

The company is also an investor and manager for several of the start-ups it helped found or for which it raised capital, spanning geography from San Francisco to Boston.  Northwestern Capital Partners has provided both investment and management advice to dozens of companies, and has worked with venture capital investors, private equity firms, strategic investors, and angels.  The Company takes a honed approach, working deeply with a few clients at a time to develop strong relationships and provide long-term growth opportunities.

Mark attended the University of Southern California, majoring in economics, and has completed graduate programs at the McColl School of Business at Queen’s University and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  In addition to serving on the boards of several companies, Mark serves or has served on the Board of Ambassadors for the University of Southern California, where he earned the Widney Award for Alumni Leadership, the Georgetown Parent’s Council, Girls on the Run International, and as President and founder of the USC Alumni Board of the Carolinas, where he leads scholarship and philanthropy efforts.
