Debbie Barber, CRNA, DNP

Dr. Barber practices anesthesia in Louisville at an ambulatory surgery center. She is owner and co-founder of the anesthesia practice, Triple Crown Anesthesia.

Debra Barber graduated from Northwestern State University in Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She practiced pediatric critical care nursing for several years. Ms. Barber returned to graduate school at Baylor College of Medicine where she received a Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia. She has practiced anesthesia for 20 years and recently completed a doctoral degree with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Barber received the John F. Garde Distinguished Graduate Award at the Doctoral graduation ceremony. In 2012, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Barber is the immediate past President of the Kentucky Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She Is currently the Government Relations Chair and the Public Relations Chair of the association. Dr, Barber has served on several committees for the national nurse anesthetist association, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The committees include; Government Relations, Public Relations and Health and Wellness. She was elected to serve on the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Resolutions Committee for 2013-14. Ms. Barber recently graduated from Emerge Kentucky, a program that trains women to run for public office. She has background and interest in healthcare policy and spends time advocating for the nurse anesthesia profession in both Frankfort and Washington DC.
