Evan McClure, MD, MBA

Evan brings dual medical and business backgrounds to executive search, helping healthcare and life sciences companies build outstanding leadership teams. He is a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, leading search engagements for CxO, VP, and Board positions for a broad range of functions across the Life Science and Healthcare verticals.

Prior, he served as Partner with executive search boutique Life Science Partner Inc., with a focus on the medical device, diagnostics, and biopharmaceutical industries.

Earlier, Evan founded The McClure Group, a consulting firm providing strategic advisory and design services to healthcare-related companies. He previously worked with Genentech in its Competitive Intelligence unit, where he evaluated M&A opportunities for its lytics franchise.

During medical school he co-founded Forge Health, a nonprofit organization supporting the healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Southeast. Forge has since merged with Sling Health (formerly IDEA Labs), a national biomedical design and entrepreneurship incubator.

Evan earned his MD and MBA from Emory University. He studied Neuroscience at Vanderbilt, where he published work studying decision making in psychopathology and designed enzyme assays for the study of neurodegenerative diseases.

Among Evan’s personal interests are inventive cooking (previously ran a restaurant with a celebrity chef), skydiving and wind tunnel flying (licensed skydiver), mountain biking, off-piste skiing, speed skating, world travel, and guitar.
