Jackie Willmot, RN, MSN, MBA


Jackie has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry. In addition to her role as CEO of XLerateHealth, Jackie works with start-up companies as a Venture Consultant.

Previously Jackie worked as an expatriate in the United Kingdom as part of the executive management team for Humana Europe, a subsidiary start-up of Humana.  During this time Jackie was responsible for leading the design, sales and launch of a full suite of clinical services for the National Health System.  Earlier she was Director of Innovation Enterprises at Humana and worked with companies domestically and internationally to identify opportunities to innovate, design and commercialize new products and services, including Richard Branson’s first healthcare company ‘Virgin Life Care’.  Jackie also led the design, launch and operational oversight of Humana’s two signature services – Personal Nurse® and HumanaBeginnings®.

Jackie volunteers her time in the start-up community and has served as a judge for the annual Invention and Innovation Awards competition, the Brown-Forman Cardinal Challenge New Venture Competition and the European MBA challenge.  In addition, Jackie was a founding member and on the Board of Directors of the Network for Entrepreneurial Women (N.E.W.), was a Kauffman FastTrac Tech Venture and LaunchIT business coach and was trained by Steve Blank in his ‘Lean Launchpad Educators Class’ at Stanford University and serves as a business coach to start-ups.

Willmot is a Master’s prepared Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist and holds an MBA from the University of Louisville’s entrepreneurship program, a Master’s of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Baccalaureate Nursing degree from Villa Maria College.
