Mary Tapolsky, PhD


Mary Tapolsky is Director of Technology Commercialization and Program Administration at Nucleus.  Mary has a doctorate in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ten years experience in research and development, and has worked in both academia and for a technology-based start-up company.  Subsequently, Mary worked with the University of Colorado’s Technology Transfer Office as a senior licensing associate, gaining expertise in technology evaluation, patentability and valuation, negotiation of licenses and other university agreements and facilitating creation of university-based start-up companies.  Mary joined Nucleus in March of 2010 where she focuses on developing and administering programs and services to facilitate creation and success of start-up and early stage companies.  In addition, she is the director of the Lean LaunchPad entrepreneur training program offered twice a year to area entrepreneurs.
